Can you believe it’s September already? It hit home how quickly the year was disappearing when my youngest daughter wished me a Happy Christmas as I was putting her to bed the other night.
I don’t know why she came out with this, but it made me laugh out loud before it dawned on me that the festive season will be upon us before we know it and as usual I’ll be woefully unprepared.
Although her good tidings were somewhat premature, the Topline PR team do have cause to celebrate again this week after partnering with another new client – OppO Recruitment.
The company offers a unique service to employers by providing first class candidates from both military and civilian backgrounds and has scooped gold in this year’s Ministry of Defence (MoD) Employer Recognition Scheme.
OppO Recruitment’s brief was clear – that they weren’t promoting this or their many other achievements and they needed someone to pick up the mantle for them.
Working with Kayam Iqbal, a former soldier and owner of OppO Recruitment, we’ve established a diary of coverage over the coming months to enable their news to achieve maximum media exposure.
Great Stories To Tell
Adam Smith, Topline PR director, said: “OppO Recruitment is a company that has many great stories to tell.
“Kayam and his team have achieved so much since the company launched in 2013 but they weren’t making the most of media opportunities this presented.
“We’re extremely confident that we can raise the profile of the company and attract new clients to OppO Recruitment as a result – the core aim of any good PR campaign.”
Kayam’s passion for OppO Recruitment’s mission to help ex-military personnel adjust to civilian life and find employment is born out of his own experiences after leaving the Armed Forces.
After 11 years as a soldier, including tours of both Iraq & Afghanistan, he struggled to find civilian employment.
Through hard work and sheer determination he managed to secure a career which led him to start OppO Recruitment.
A year later he formed partner charity The OppO Foundation, which is dedicated to addressing the broad range of issues facing people leaving the armed forces and their families.
